1-day Navigation Clinic (Peak District) - 26 February 2006

The winter shows off some of the best of the Peak District landscape with clear skies and snow-covered hills in the distance. This course ran from Fairholmes in the Derwent Valley and after some pacing and timing on the flat ground headed up towards Lost Lad and Back Tor. The wind was pretty icy at 500 metres as we navigated our way up the hillside. From the trig point on Back Tor we headed down through some tricky ground, over streams and past the ancient field system overlooking Far Deep Clough to join the path back to Derwent Reservoir.
