We think the vibe is slightly different when women are learning together and want to offer you the chance to share experiences, meet other female climbers/instructors and perhaps hook up with regular climbing partners. Our women-only weekends are relaxed affairs led by mountaineering instructor Ruth Taylor. Join Ruth and the other instructors who will help you to develop your climbing in a supportive, testosterone-free environment.

Women's Introduction to Rock Climbing weekend

On this course we cover the same topics that are covered on the Introduction to Rock Climbing weekends but in an all-female environment. During the weekend we look at equipment selection, ropework, climbing technique, traditional climbing and bouldering. By the end of the weekend you'll have all the skills to climb safely with an experienced climber as a competent second.

Women's Mountain Crag Skills (Snowdonia)

This course will look at the special techniques required to climb confidently and safely on multi-pitch crags. The course is great for those who have climbed on indoor walls or single-pitch crags and want to broaden their horizons onto the bigger crags of Snowdonia, the Lake District and Scotland. The weekend programme is very flexible and for those who have done some multi-pitch climbing we can focus on themes such as: stance organisation (how to prevent tangled ropes), organising multi-pitch descents, tips for moving faster and multi-pitch problem solving.
